Can I edit my job posting after it goes live?

Yes, you absolutely can! We understand that typos happen or extra details crop up at the last minute. FastJobs gives you a flexible 48-hour window to make edits after your job post goes live so you can ensure everything looks perfect.

What you can edit during the 48-hour window

For the first 48 hours after publishing, you have a lot of flexibility. You can:

  • Update your job title or description
  • Fix any quick typos or missing details
  • Make minor adjustments to the overall post

To make these changes, simply log into your Employer Dashboard, head over to your active jobs list, and click [Edit Job] next to the listing you want to update.

What happens after 48 hours?

Once your job ad has been live for more than 48 hours, only the job description can be edited directly by you. Other structural fields—like salary, working hours, and location—will be locked.

If an essential detail changes after the lockdown period, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for a hand. You can connect with us through the [Contact Support] button on your dashboard, contact your dedicated Account Manager, or drop us an email at fj-salessupport.sg@fastco.asia.

⚠️ Important: Edits we cannot accept

To maintain absolute transparency and protect job seekers, there are a few major structural changes that neither you nor our support team can apply to a live ad:

  • Changing the core job title to a completely different role
  • Lowering the originally published salary range
  • Increasing the required working hours or days
  • Changing the primary job location or contact method

Major shifts like these can confuse applicants who have already applied based on the original terms. If a role transforms this significantly, it is always best to start fresh with a new post!

Employer Tip: Remember to always keep Tripartite Alliance for Fair & Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) guidelines in mind whenever you are writing or updating your job ads to ensure your listings remain fair and compliant.

What's next?

If you find that the locked fields on your ad no longer match your hiring needs because you've already successfully found the right candidate, you can simply take the listing down instead of editing it.
