I’ve Applied for Jobs But Haven’t Heard Back—What’s Going On?

We get it—waiting for a response after applying for a job can be nerve-wracking. Here's what you need to know and do while you wait.


Why Haven’t I Received a Response?

Hiring managers often receive a high volume of applications, and as much as they'd like to, they may not be able to respond to everyone immediately.

Typical response time:
7 - 14 working days if you've been shortlisted.


What You Can Do in the Meantime

  1. Keep applying
    Don’t stop at one application. Continue applying to other jobs to increase your chances of getting hired.

  2. Check your application status
    Open your FastJobs app and go to:
    My Jobs → Applied Jobs
    You’ll see whether your application has been sent, viewed, or marked as unsuccessful.


Tips to Increase Your Chances of Getting Hired

To stand out among other applicants, make sure your FastJobs profile is complete:

✔️ Verified account
✔️ Uploaded resume
✔️ Filled in sections for:

    • Past Work Experience
    • Education
    • Languages
    • Skills
