Guide to Posting Jobs on FastJobs

Looking to grow your team? FastJobs makes it incredibly simple to create job ads, target the right talent, and even schedule exactly when your listing goes live. Whether you're publishing your very first ad or just need a quick refresher, this step-by-step guide has you covered.

How to post a job

  • Step 1: Log in to your account
    Head over to the FastJobs Employer portal and log in. You’ll land right on your central dashboard where all your hiring magic happens.

  • Step 2: Click "Post a New Job"
    Look for the prominent [Post a New Job] button on your dashboard to open up the creation form.

  • Step 3: Fill in the role details
    Complete the job information form with the essentials:
    • Job Title & Category
    • Employment Type (Full-time, Part-time, Contract, etc.)
    • Salary Information & Work Location
    • Job Description: This is your space to showcase your company culture and clearly outline what you're looking for.
    • Application Method: Choose how you want to receive applications (FAST Apply email, Phone Call/SMS, or WhatsApp)

  • Step 4: Pick a package and publish
    Select the visibility package that fits your timeline (such as a Basic post, a 7-day Featured ad, or a 4-week Featured boost), then hit [Post a new job] to make it official!

 

Character limits & formatting tips

To ensure your job ad goes live without a hitch, keep these quick limits and tips in mind:

  • Job Title: Up to 100 characters.
  • Job Description: Up to 2,000 characters.
    • Tip #1: Try to skip using emojis in your job description. This maximizes your character count and prevents formatting errors that might make your text hard to read on certain mobile devices.
    • Tip #2: Track as you type. Use the built-in word and character counter sitting right at the bottom of the job description box to see exactly how much space you have left.

Advanced feature: Restrict applications to Singapore citizens

Hiring for a specific role that is restricted to local citizens? FastJobs helps you stay compliant with local hiring guidelines and saves you screening time with a built-in filter:

  1. Scroll down to the "Filter Applications" section while drafting or editing your job ad.
  2. From the dropdown menu, select "Singaporean Only".

Once turned on, our system ensures only eligible candidates can submit their applications for this specific post.

Advanced feature: Schedule your job to go live later

If you're planning ahead and don't want your job ad to drop immediately, you can easily queue it up for the future:

  1. Look for the "Scheduled Job Posting" section under the Preferences tab near the bottom of the form.
  2. Click the calendar icon and select your ideal launch date. (Note: If you leave this blank, your job will go live the moment you hit submit!)
